I love a good primer, I would actually say that this is a fundamental part of my makeup routine, mainly because I don’t how foundation feels on my skin so I like to have a primer on underneath and also because I have oily skin, its nice to have primer on to keep my foundation in place, so today I am going to mention my top 3 primers.

Rimmel, L'Oreal, Maybelline

I’m going to start by mentioning the Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser I purchased this from Boots for £7.99 a while back now. When I first started using it I was unsure about it as it made my skin feel greasy but none the less I decided to give it a fair try and started using it everyday and gradually I started really liking it, recently though I have changed to a different primer but I still like to have this as a back up because it really does help to keep my makeup in place and smooth’s my skin out. I don’t really have much else to say about this primer apart from it’s a lovely handy cheap high street product to have.

Next I'm going to mention the Rimmel Fix & Perfect, this is actually one of my favourite go to primers, it glides on the skin nicely, feels really light weight and it only costs £6.99 from Boots, Bargain! I actually prefer this primer to some of the higher end ones that I have tried; I think that is mainly because this one has more of a creamier consistency where a lot of other primers that I have tried are more like a gel, which has an oily feel to them. I would recommend this primer to anyone as its easy to use, cheap and does the job.
Lastly I'm going to mention the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur, I'm not totally sure if this is meant to be used as a primer but I haven't seen anywhere that you can't, so I have decided to use it as a primer and I actually really like it. I only use a little on my cheeks and t zone as the consistency is quite thick so I don't like to use much encase it starts to clog my pores, but so far, so good! It smooth's my skin out nicely and because it’s slightly tinted it reduces any redness. If you don't mind using a thicker primer that I would really say to try this one.

Please let me know what your favourite primer is because I’d love to try some new ones.

    1. I have tried some higher end primers but honestly these just compare to some of them for half the price so they are well worth the try, the Rimmel one is my favourite!
