I've recently had a bit of a health scare which has now resulted in me wanting to lose a bit of weight and overall get more healthy, so to kick start my new healthy eating I decided to research some smoothies recipes which I thought would be nice to share with you guys.  

Pomegranate, Raspberry & Banana Smoothie
Start the day with this energy-boosting and flling fruit smoothie.

Ingredients 
  • 100G raspberries 
  • 1 sliced banana 
  • 125G raspberry & vanilla yogurt 
  • 300ml pomegrante juice

Lemongrass & Orange Smoothie
Packed with wheat germ a great source of calcium, B vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium, iron, and zinc, your find yourself feeling nutritionally invigorated with every gulp. The orange will also help boost your vitamin C levels too – plus it simply tastes brilliant.

Ingredients 
  • 1 stick of lemongrass
  • 1 orange 
  • 2tsp wheat germ 
  • 225ml whole-milk yogurt 
  • 1-2tsp clear honey

Honey & Banana Smootie
Start the day with a refreshing breakfast smoothie that keeps you feeling full and counts as one of your five-a-day fruit portions. The kick of ginger will wake up your taste buds and helps to ease sickness too

Ingredients 
  • small knob of fresh ginger
  • 2tbsp honey
  • 4tbsp live yogurt
  • 1 banana 
  • juice of 4 oranges 
  • juice of ½ lemon

Jumping Jack Smootie
This energy-packed soya milk smoothie is a great start to the day. And the fibre-rich linseeds help with digestion too.

Ingredients 
  • 1 peeled pear
  • 1 banana
  • 100ml soya milk
  • 75ml yogurt 
  • 2tsp linseeds/flaxseed


Iced Berry Smoothie
This cool smoothie is a real a treat - tasty, packed with berrys (one of the best superfoods around) and great any time of the day.

Ingredients 
  • 175G frozen black forest fruits 
  • 200g carton greek-style yogurt
  • 30ml honey
  • 50-75ml orange juice
