I love having a tan, espcially a natual tan but sometimes I find them just as had to keep up with a fake tan as I worry that I am going to lose my tan and that the last remains of your holiday. By doing a few simple things you can prolong that natual just that little bit longer. 

1. Moisturise! 
There is no better way to keep that summer glow than regularly applying a body lotion as it helps to rehydrate the skin. I love using the Palmer body butter as not only does it drench the skin in moisture, it also smells of holiday.

2. Cool Showers. 
Cool Showers are certainly the way forwards when you have a natural tan, the reason for this is hot baths can dehydrate your skin which will lead to faster peeling. So keep to the cool showers and make sure to use a moisturising shower oil.

3. Exfoliate. 
You may think this is the last thing you should be doing to prolong a tan but its actually really important to give your body a weekly exfoliation as this will help to remove dull, dry skin which can cause patches on your skin.

4. Drink plenty of water. 
Don't start slacking of drinking the water just because you are know longer away in the sun. Keeping hydrated will help to prolong the skin and your tan and another bonus is it will plump and smooth the skin. 

5. Wear white.
it's a tried-and-tested trick for giving the illusion of darker skin, just simply wear white next to your face and you will instantly looked more tanned.
